Albemarle Tradewinds Dec 2021 Article: “God Is Faithful”

I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful,…”

What a wonderful, simple fact- God is faithful. In the good times and the bad, when life is easy and when it’s hard- God is faithful!

Too often we blame God for everything that goes wrong when in truth, WE are the real problem. God has not made a mistake, God has not miscalculated, God has seen the good you have done as well as the evil actions of others. God knows, hears, and sees everything. Even when we are struggling with temptation, God is faithful and will always give us a way of escape. Hallelujah, God is faithful!

We must focus on our part of the bargain rather than telling God how He should handle His part. We must do what the Word of God has commanded us to do. We must love the Lord Jesus Christ more than anything else. And we must trust the Providence of God Almighty, rather than doubting and criticizing His Ways.

If we are faithful to do our part, God will always do His. Jesus said in John chapter 14, verse 15, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” It doesn’t get any simpler than that. Let us all strive to love the Lord and thereby obey His commandments found in the Word of God.
