Psalms 78:7 “That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:”
It is so sad to talk to people that have no hope in their lives. Some think that their situation is hopeless, that there is no chance to have a better future than their past and present. But according to the Scripture we can all live our lives with hope IF we put our hope in the right place.
If your hope is in the White House, you will be very disappointed, if your hope is with the city council you will be let down, if your hope is in your career or retirement that can all be lost as well. It is only God Almighty that will never change and won’t ever let you down. He is always Faithful and True! Praise the Lord!
To put your hope in God, start by receiving Jesus Christ as your Saviour by Faith alone. We are not born as children of God, so we must be “born again” by faith in Jesus Christ and adopted into God’s family.
After you are saved, live your life by applying the rest of Psalms 78:7 “…., but keep his commandments:” We can cause many problems in our own lives if we do not keep the commandments of God that are found in the Bible. How much misery do we bring upon ourselves simply because we did not obey the Lord’s commandments.
